Pocket Theory (“the App”) is designed to respect your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information the App does and does not collect, and how information is used.

1. Information We Collect

Pocket Theory does not collect, store, transmit, or share any personal data. The App does not:

  • Require account creation
  • Collect names, emails, or contact details
  • Use analytics services
  • Track users across apps or websites
  • Transmit usage data to external servers

All app functionality works entirely on your device.

2. Data Stored on Your Device

Pocket Theory stores limited information locally on your device using Apple’s UserDefaults system. This data never leaves your device.

This may include:

  • Theories you have viewed
  • Theories you have marked as read
  • Theories you have liked
  • Your current streak count
  • Your notification preferences (if enabled)
  • App open counts (used to determine onboarding prompts)

This data is used only to power app features such as:

  • Daily theory progression
  • Streak tracking
  • Library view
  • Notification scheduling
  • Onboarding timing

If you delete the app, this data is removed from your device.

3. Notifications

If you choose to enable daily reminders, Pocket Theory will request permission to send notifications.

Notifications are:

  • Scheduled locally on your device
  • Not based on tracking
  • Not linked to personal data
  • Not transmitted to any server

You can disable notifications at any time in:

  • The Profile screen within the App
  • The iOS Settings app

4. Data Sharing

Pocket Theory does not:

  • Sell data
  • Share data
  • Transmit data to third parties
  • Use advertising networks
  • Use third-party analytics

No user data leaves your device.

5. Children’s Privacy

Pocket Theory does not knowingly collect data from anyone, including children under 13. As the App does not collect personal information, there is no data stored about any user.

6. Changes to This Policy

If Pocket Theory introduces new features that require data collection (such as accounts, subscriptions, cloud sync, or analytics), this Privacy Policy will be updated accordingly.
